Thanks through your photos for rekindling great memories of Ladakh, Lamyuru and the walk
through the valleys to Padum and Manali, I did this in 1983 and it doesn't look to have
changed much since then. Except the vegetation looks overgrazed. Also you have put names
to places I visited but did not know what they were called. Your photos are great, I dont
think Peter will be going to this region in Jan Feb It gets to 30 below and the passes are
difficult, flying in will not get him acclimatised either, most of this walk is above
11,000 feet.
